Returns & Refunds

This page sets out the handling approach for cancellations, damaged items, incorrect orders, and other post-order issues.

Change of Mind

Returns for change of mind are generally not accepted for opened, used, reconstituted, or otherwise compromised research products. Where an order has already been packed or dispatched, a change-of-mind cancellation may not be available.

Damaged, Incorrect, or Missing Items

If an order arrives damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or materially inconsistent with the order confirmation, email hello@shopclarascience.com as soon as possible with the order reference, a description of the issue, and supporting images where relevant.

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate resolution may include replacement, reshipment, store credit, or refund.

Cancellations

Unpaid orders may be cancelled before reconciliation and will not be shipped. Paid orders may only be cancelled before dispatch and only where operationally possible.

If an order has already moved into fulfilment or dispatch, cancellation may no longer be available.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If goods are faulty, not as described, or otherwise fail to meet non-excludable consumer guarantees, available remedies may include repair, replacement, refund, or other appropriate resolution depending on the circumstances and the nature of the issue.

A blanket “no refunds under any circumstances” position is not recommended for an Australian-facing website. A narrower operational policy with an Australian Consumer Law carve-out is the safer structure.
