What is the BPC-157 + TB-500 Blend?

The ClaraScience blend combines BPC-157 and TB-500 in a single lyophilised vial at 5mg each. BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a 15-amino-acid fragment of a protein found in gastric juice; TB-500 is the synthetic form of Thymosin Beta-4, a 43-amino-acid actin-sequestering peptide present in most cell types. Both are among the most frequently cited peptides in preclinical wound, tendon, ligament, muscle and vascular research.

Researchers who study the two compounds together usually reconstitute two separate vials and combine them at the bench. The blend is the same two peptides, pre-combined at a fixed 1:1 mass ratio, so a single reconstitution yields both in one solution — fewer vials, fewer transfers, and a consistent ratio between experiments.

ClaraScience supplies the blend HPLC-tested to 99.4% purity, with a full Certificate of Analysis for every batch. For laboratory research use only.

Components. 5mg BPC-157 (pentadecapeptide) + 5mg TB-500 (synthetic Thymosin β4, 43 aa) per vial.
Research focus. Tendon/ligament, skeletal-muscle, gastrointestinal and vascular repair models; cell migration and angiogenesis assays.
Why a blend. One reconstitution, fixed 1:1 mass ratio, no cross-vial transfer.

Research Background

BPC-157 has been studied across a wide range of rodent injury models by Sikiric and colleagues, including tendon and ligament transection, muscle crush, gastric and intestinal lesions, and vascular injury, with reported effects on angiogenesis (VEGF/nitric-oxide pathways) and fibroblast migration. It is stable in gastric juice and has been examined by oral, intraperitoneal and topical routes in animal work.

Thymosin Beta-4 (the peptide TB-500 replicates) is the major actin-sequestering protein in mammalian cells. In preclinical work it has been investigated for keratinocyte and endothelial cell migration, corneal and dermal wound closure, and cardiac repair after ischaemia; its central actin-binding motif (LKKTETQ) is often studied on its own. Human data exist only from early-stage trials of the native protein.

Because the two act through different mechanisms — BPC-157 on growth-factor and NO signalling, Tβ4 on actin dynamics and cell migration — they are frequently studied side by side in tissue-repair models, which is the use-case this blend is designed for. Neither compound is approved for therapeutic use; all work described is preclinical. See also our BPC-157 vs TB-500 analytical comparison.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is in the BPC-157 + TB-500 blend?

One lyophilised vial containing 5mg BPC-157 and 5mg TB-500 (synthetic Thymosin Beta-4). It is the same two peptides ClaraScience sells individually, pre-combined at a 1:1 mass ratio. For laboratory research use only.

Why buy the blend instead of two separate vials?

Convenience and consistency: a single reconstitution gives both peptides in one solution at a fixed ratio, with no cross-vial transfer. Researchers who need different ratios, or only one compound, should use the single vials of BPC-157 and TB-500.

How do BPC-157 and TB-500 differ?

BPC-157 is a 15-amino-acid gastric peptide studied for growth-factor and nitric-oxide-mediated repair signalling; TB-500 replicates Thymosin Beta-4, a 43-amino-acid actin-sequestering peptide studied for cell migration and angiogenesis. They are studied together because the mechanisms are complementary.

Is the blend approved by the FDA or TGA?

No. Neither BPC-157 nor Thymosin Beta-4/TB-500 is approved by the TGA, FDA or any major regulator, and the supporting evidence is preclinical. ClaraScience supplies the blend strictly for laboratory research.

Is the BPC-157 + TB-500 blend available in Australia?

Yes — dispatched from ClaraScience's Australian warehouse with a Certificate of Analysis for every batch. Orders before 2pm AEST ship the same business day. For laboratory research use only — not for human or animal use, and not approved by the TGA for therapeutic use.
